Cloverheart padded out of the nursrey while Forestkit and Pepperkit bounded ahead of her. She had grummed the both to perfection. They were going to be made apprentices now.

Riverheart's heart pounded.Her first Apprentice!She couldn't wait!She was determined to be a good mentor to Forestkit and give him the best training he deserves!

Ashcloud raced out to the clearing, and took a place at the edge of the clearing. He looked around to see which cats seemed the most excited. His green eyes dazzled in the sunlight streaming down from above. As much as he wanted an apprentice, he knew he was to inexperienced, and the senior warriors would be the ones chosen. He knew that eventually he would get an apprentice, but the time he did not know. He would have to wait patiently. Ashcloud shook in his pelt, anxious as the two kits for the Clan meeting to begin.

Otterfur leapt from the warriors den then padded over to his place besdide the high rock. He hoped that he might get an apprentice today, just maybe. Otterfur rapped his tail around his paws then turned his head to Ashcloud. "Fine day is it not?" He meowed.

Ashcloud turned his head towards Otterfur and said," You'd better believe it!!! By the way, do you have any idea who's getting an apprentice? I can't wait." He twisted excitedly in place. " I'm to mentor Stormkit when he becomes an apprentice" He said, bursting with pride. "You'd be a good mentor for one of them, Otterfur. I'd be surprised if you aren't picked." He gave Otterfur a side glance, he liked to see his fellow cats happy.

Riverheart couldn't help but to hear Ashcloud's conversation.She walked over to him.''I'm going to be Forestkit's mentor!''She said proudly.''He's going to have the bes mentor out of all of them!''

Darkstar walked out of his den. He leaped up onto High Rock. He called," Let all those old enough to catch their own pray gather here, at High Rock." He waited untill all the cats gathered. Then he said,"Otterfur, I believe that you are ready for an apprentice.You are a wise and faithful cat. You will be mentor to Pepperpaw." He watched to two cats touch noses. He waited until they sat down until he spoke again. "Riverheart, I believe that you are ready for an apprentice. You are a true friend and a smart cat. You will be mentor to Forestpaw." He saw the them happily touch noses. The two cats sat down next to each other. He called for the last time, "Ashcloud, I believe that you are ready for an apprentice. You are a loyal cat and you are one of the most couragest cats in Thunderclan. You will be mentor to Stormpaw." He watched the pair touch noses and sit down. He leaped down from High Rock.

Ashcloud's eyes shined brightly. He stood beside his apprentice and said, "You'll be one of the best warriors the clan has ever seen when I'm through with you!"

Otterfur smiled at Ashcloud. He turnedf to Fogcloud and grinned. As soon as he heard Darkstars voice, he swung his head to his leader. His eyes lit up as he was called up to aprentice Pepperpaw. He leapt towards the highrock and touched noses with his new apprentice. "We'll have lots of fun!" He meowed, almost excited as a kit.
